Abstract Guidelines for AORA 2025
Greetings from the organising committee of AORA 2025!!
We invite you to submit and showcase your research work as podium presentations or E-posters for the upcoming 15th National Conference of AORA, India – The biggest and prestigious Regional Anaesthesia conclave in India.
Guidelines for Submission of Abstract
- Abstracts must be original and must not have been published.
- Abstracts should be submitted through the online module only.
- Abstract content should be in English and should not exceed 250 words / 1500 characters (excluding Author & Co-Author Names, Affiliations, Title & References).
- Only one image can be uploaded within the abstract.
- Abstracts must be uploaded only in MS-Word (.doc or .docx) format.
Submission Topics
- Regional Anaesthesia – USGRA, PNS Guided Blocks, LA Pharmacology, Central Neuraxial & Paravertebral Blocks, Peripheral Nerve Blocks, Fascial Plane blocks
- Cadaveric Studies pertaining to regional anaesthesia, POCUS or Chronic Pain
- Point of Care USG
- Chronic Pain & Musculoskeletal Interventions
- Obstetric Labour Analgesia
- Complications of RA/Chronic pain
- Paediatric Regional Anaesthesia
- USG guided Vascular Access
Rules & Regulations
For Podium Presentations
- Only original research (with ethical clearance) or Case series (with informed consent) are eligible.
- Structured abstracts must be submitted within 250 words under the following headings:
- Background
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
- Interim analysis may also be submitted (50% of sample size) but must be included in the title of the submission.
- Incomplete studies without results in the abstract will not be accepted.
For E-Poster Presentations
- Original research (with ethical clearance), Case series (with informed consent), and Case reports (with informed consent) can be submitted.
- Abstracts must be submitted within 250 words under the following headings:
- Introduction
- Case report
- Conclusion
For Both Paper and Poster Presentations
- Abstracts will be screened and shortlisted through a blinded peer review process.
- Rights of acceptance/rejection rest with the scientific committee.
- If your abstract is selected for presentation during the conference, you will be informed by email.

For paper presentation, 5 minutes will be allotted to present the scientific paper in PowerPoint format followed by a Q&A session for a further 2 minutes. (7 minutes per session).

For poster presentation, 3 minutes will be allotted to present the E-poster followed by a Q&A session for a further 2 minutes. (5 minutes per session).

Eligibility Requirements
- Junior residents, Senior residents, Fellows, and Consultants are eligible for participation.
- The presenting author must be mandatorily registered for AORA 2025.

All abstracts submitted by PGs/ Fellows should be authorized with a PG/ Fellow Bonafide Certificate from the head of the department. The scanned document/picture MUST be uploaded along with the submission.
- The abstract committee reserves the right to ask for any relevant document during the process of screening. Failure to procure the same may result in disqualification.
- The last date for abstract submission is 15th August 2025.

Why Infographics?
Infographics provide a dynamic and powerful platform to present concepts in Regional Anaesthesia (RA), Perioperative Care, PoCUS, and Acute-Chronic Pain Management. They transform complex data into visually engaging, simplified, and retainable messages—essential for modern medical education.
This competition aims to promote creativity, learning, and innovation in these specialties through visual storytelling.

Write a brief explanation (max 500 words) about:
- The theme and take-home message

- Your design must be original, self-created, and aesthetically appealing
- Easy to understand, concise, and scientifically accurate
- Recommended tools: Canva, Piktochart, D3.js, Easel.ly
Technical & Submission Specifications
- Accepted formats: .JPEG, .PNG, .PDF
- Image size:
- Minimum: 1024 × 1024 px
- Recommended: 1920 × 1080 px (landscape)
- Maximum file size: 15 MB
- Infographics must be non-interactive and will be displayed on large LCD screens
- Add your name and contact information visibly on the image
Content Requirements
- Must contain evidence-based, original content
- All external data, text, or visuals must be properly cited
- Ensure scientific accuracy and integrity
Design Guidelines
- Organize content in a logical, sequential flow
- Use readable fonts, balanced colors, and clean graphics
- Avoid overcrowding; ensure it is easy to grasp at a glance
Judging & Evaluation
Infographics will be judged using the same criteria as e-posters. Evaluation parameters include:
- Relevance and scientific accuracy
- Creativity and originality
- Clarity and visual impact
Final Tip: Keep it clean, concise, and captivating—your infographic is your voice in visual form!
